| Fonts, Fonts, Fonts
The most frequent problem with customer submitted files is the exclusion or corruption of fonts. In order to print your fonts, we need your fonts. To identify which fonts you are using:
If you're using Illustrator, you can outline your fonts, which we would prefer. Just select "all" and go to the "Type" pulldown menu and select "Outline Fonts". However, once they are outlined we can't alter any text if there is a change, and neither can you, so be sure to save a copy for yourself without the fonts outlined in case you need to make a change. Customer Supplied Fonts If you can't outline your fonts, you need to provide them to us. If you don't know where your fonts are stored, a simple search should locate them on your computer. If you have Postscript fonts (identified by the single letter "A" on the icon) you will need to provide both the screen font and the printer font. If you have TrueType fonts (identified by the three "A's" on the icon) there is only one font file for screen and printer. Linked Images Just like fonts, in order to print your images, we need your images. Images placed in Illustrator should not be embedded as this can create very large file sizes as well as other problems. Photoshop Photoshop is a photo manipulation program, not a layout/design program. We do not recommend designing your layout in Photoshop because of certain printing restrictions. Mainly, you will not get the text clarity that is possible with other design programs such as Quark or Illustrator. It's best to import Photoshop images into one of these programs and then create the text. If Photoshop is your only option, please supply the following:
