Did
you ever wonder what all those funny files on DVD-Video disc
are?
Your
DVD-Video discs are composed of a VIDEO_TS folder and an
AUDIO_TS folder. The AUDIO_TS folder is normally unused. Both
the audio and video data are stored together as VOB (video
object) files in the VIDEO_TS folder.
IFO (information
file) stores the navigation data. The BUP (backup file) is a
backup of the IFO files and is used by the DVD players in case
the IFO files get damaged due to surface scratches etc.
