Piracy has been a big issue for the music recording industry for the last few years. In an effort to stop illegal copyright infringement the RIAA had been involved in many multi million dollar lawsuits against those participating in illegal piracy, such as CD replication and CD duplication services.

The (RIAA) Recording Industry Association of America is the trade group that represents the U.S. recording industry. Its mission is to foster a business and legal climate that supports and promotes its members' creative and financial vitality. Its members are the record companies that comprise the most vibrant national music industry in the world. RIAA members create, manufacture and/or distribute approximately 90 percent of all legitimate sound recordings produced and sold in the United States.

In support of this mission, Acutrack and the RIAA work to protect intellectual property rights worldwide and the First Amendment rights of artists; conduct consumer industry and technical research; and monitor and review - - state and federal laws, regulations and policies.

Before you begin the CD replication or DVD duplication process for music, software, videos/film, you must demonstrate that you are the rightful owner of all of the materials. This applies to the work that you have created in addition to sampling, previously recorded recordings, cover songs, soundtracks and software applications.
